Alice Cooper & Uriah Heep

My wife and I went with a couple of friends to the Alice Cooper/Uriah Heep show in Copenhagen last night. It was lots of fun. I never really paid attention to Uriah Heep before, but they definitely convinced me. They're a great live act, and both Monique and I are looking forward to them coming back to Denmark as Headliners!

Alice Cooper was as good as always. Great show, though a little cut down compared to other times I have seen him, but still well worth the time and money. He brought a really talented guitar player, Jason Hook, who really kicked ass. Great great guitar player, whom I am sure we will hear more from in the future. On drums, once again, was Eric Singer from Kiss and ESP. I really enjoy his way of playing.

They played all the classics of course, and mixed in a few new songs. I kind of missed to hear something from Brutal Planet, but I guess it wouldn't have fit in with the rest of the songs, being much heavier than what he played last night. The style this time was more classic rock, much like the latest album, Dirty Diamonds.

Supposedly, a new album will be released early 2008. I hope he'll be back in Denmark for yet another show.

We were front row and I managed to take some reasonable photos using my cell phone. I hope you enjoy then.
